This paper investigates the problem of finite-time stabilization for nonlinear switched systems under arbitrary switching laws. Such systems play an important role in control theory and are widely encountered in many engineering applications, including robotics, chemical reactors, mechatronic systems, and virtual interaction systems. While classical stability theory focuses on the asymptotic convergence of system states to an equilibrium point, finite-time stability guarantees that the system states reach the origin within a finite time interval. This property improves the response speed of the system and enhances its robustness against external disturbances. The paper considers a mathematical model of nonlinear systems with switching modes and analyzes stability conditions based on a common Lyapunov function. In addition, control design methods based on the adding a power integrator technique are presented to achieve finite-time stabilization. The proposed approaches ensure system stability even when the switching law is arbitrary. To verify the effectiveness of the developed methods, several numerical examples are investigated and simulated in the MATLAB environment. The obtained results demonstrate that the state variables converge to zero within a finite time. Numerical simulations confirm the effectiveness of the proposed control strategies and indicate their potential applicability in practical engineering systems.
