Journal Policy

«Bulletin of the  Abai KazNPU, Series of  Physical and Mathematical Sciences»

The purpose and thematic direction of the magazine:

- publication of scientific and methodological and practical materials in the field of mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science and informatization. The journal is a periodical for the rapid publication of the results of theoretical and applied research of scientific schools and researchers, as well as articles on scientific problems in various fields of physics, mathematics, technical and humanitarian (education) sciences.

Periodicity

The journal "Bulletin of Abai KazNPU. Series Physical and Mathematical Sciences" is published quarterly in an online (electronic) format according to the following schedule: Issue No. 1 – March of the current year, Issue No. 2 – June, Issue No. 3 – September, and Issue No. 4 – December.

Terms of publication

Publication is possible only if the journal requirements are met: The corresponding author (selected from the authors of the manuscript if there are 2 or more co-authors) submits an electronic manuscript of a scientific article to the editorial board no later than two months before the release of the next issue of the journal. The recommended length of the article is at least 8 pages. Otherwise, the issue of the article length must be agreed upon with the editorial board of the journal. Illustrations, diagrams, tables included in the text of the article are taken into account in the total text volume.

The manuscript must be uploaded via the electronic platform by the corresponding author, indicating all the metadata of the article and its authors.

At the stages of work with the manuscript, correspondence between the editorial board, the corresponding author and reviewers is carried out via the electronic (online) OJS platform, and in exceptional cases - via e-mail.

The editorial board of the journal reviews manuscripts received from the author/authors, organizes their review and makes a decision on publication or refusal to publish within two months from the date of receipt of the manuscript via the electronic platform.

The author(s) of the manuscript approved for publication in the journal are required to pay for the publication in accordance with the approved price list for publication in scientific journals of Abai KazNPU. The receipt for payment for publication in pdf format is sent by the author for correspondence to the email address of the editorial board of the journal.

The manuscript must not have been previously published or submitted to other publications, have an originality of the text of at least 75% (the editors check using online systems for detecting text borrowing), have positive reviews from the journal's experts. Meet technical requirements. The editors have the right to request the submission of additional materials confirming the originality of the article.

Type of review

The primary review is conducted by the editorial board of the journal. In case of incorrect formatting of the article or non-compliance with the journal criteria, the article is returned to the author. If the decision is positive, the work is checked for plagiarism (Information system "Antiplagiat.VUZ", threshold level 75%). An article that does not pass the check is returned for revision and cannot be considered for inclusion in the current issue of the journal. The work with originality higher than 75% is then checked by one or more reviewers (English grammar check is possible, etc.). If necessary, the author makes corrections based on the recommendations of the reviewers. The editorial board adheres to the principle of Double-blind review, double "blind" - anonymity of the author and reviewer. The secondary review process - consideration of the article by the editor-in-chief and acceptance for publication.

Archiving and availability

- All paper issues of the journal «Bulletin of Abai KazNPU. Series Physical and Mathematical Sciences» are available in the University library (86 Tole bi str.), as well as in the editorial office of the journal;

The journal «Bulletin of Abai KazNPU. Series Physical and Mathematical Sciences» provides open access to its content on the official website of the university. This ensures wider information access to the journal on a global scientific community scale. The journal's website also provides the necessary information for authors and readers about the journal's activities: publication conditions, rules for formatting and submitting manuscripts to the journal, the procedure for forming the journal and reviewing manuscripts, publication ethics, information about the editorial board, contact information of the scientific editor and executive secretary. Readers and authors can familiarize themselves with electronic versions of the current issue of the journal and archives for previous periods.

The authors of the articles in the journal «Bulletin of Abai KazNPU. Series Physical and Mathematical Sciences»  transfer the right to publish along with the work to the journal. The copyright holder of the published work is the publisher - Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

The authorship of the manuscript belongs to those researchers who participated directly in the creation of the manuscript, in the formation of the concept, in writing the article, in the interpretation of the results and made a significant contribution to obtaining scientific results.

The authors retain the rights to their manuscripts, while allowing everyone to freely download, reuse, reprint, change, distribute or copy them, with the obligatory mark of the authorship of this work and a link to the unique publication in this journal. For all these actions, with a link to the journal, permission from the authors or the publisher is not required. The authors can distribute their article in other sources (for example, in an institutional archive, social networks, etc.) with a mandatory link to its original publication in this journal.

Publication Ethics

Responsibilities and rights of editors, reviewers and authors:

All parties involved in the process of preparing materials for publication in the journal: authors, reviewers, members of the editorial board follow the requirements for the ethics of publications in Abai KazNPU journals.  (website).

The editors of the journal are obliged to evaluate the manuscripts solely on the basis of their scientific significance, the correctness of the information presented, the objectivity of the conclusions, to stimulate exclusively scientific discussion, and to ensure the protection of the author's personal data. Editors have the right to read the expert opinion and make suggestions for improving the works accepted for publication.

Members of the editorial board are obliged to follow the instructions assigned to them on the implementation of the basic requirements of publication ethics; to maintain confidentiality in their work and undertake not to use unpublished author's information in their research. The members of the editorial board have the right to engage experts in various fields in accordance with the established procedure to participate in the review of articles submitted for publication in the journal.

The reviewer must comply with the agreed terms of the examination, consider the received material as confidential, and give a clear and reasoned objective assessment of the materials submitted for consideration. The reviewer has the right to notify the editors or refuse to review if the topic of the article is not in the area of his competence or a quick review is impossible.

The authors are required to provide reliable results of the original research and an objective discussion of its significance. The article must contain sufficient details to ensure the verifiability of the work, have at least 80% of the uniqueness of the text; the author must provide a presentation of the original work, with mandatory bibliographic references in case of using quotations from other authors. Authors have the right to publish in the press the results of scientific, scientific and technical activities, if they do not contain information related to state, official or commercial secrets.

Measures to identify conflicts of interest, unethical behavior

In the event of personal interest, unethical behavior in the performance of work duties, which may lead to a conflict of interests, the representative of the editorial board should be guided by the interests of the journal and the university.

Review or correction of articles, publication of corrections, apologies, refutations:

Correspondence with the author is conducted at the e-mail address of the editorial office of the journal.

Unethical behavior - actions of authors, editors or publishers related to the independent provision of reviews of their own articles, contractual and pseudo-licensing, access to agency services for the publication of scientific research results, falsification of the composition of authors, publication of pseudoscientific texts, transfer of the texts of articles to other journals without the consent of the authors, transfer of the authors ' materials to third parties, violation of copyright and the principle of confidentiality of editorial processes, manipulation of citations, plagiarism, falsification and fabrication:
