At present, the use of pseudo-random sequences (PRS) is widely used in various fields of science and technology, for example, in cryptography, radio communications, information transmission, etc. One of the methods for obtaining RRP is the use of chaotic generators. They can generate high entropy PRSs with excellent statistical independence properties. This article discusses the basic principles of operation of FPGA-based chaotic pseudo-random sequence generators, and also presents examples of the implementation of such chaotic generators on nonlinear dynamic systems, such as Chua and Ressler systems.
