Abstract

The article deals with the problem of using the project method in teaching future teachers of mathematics. The new educational strategy implements self-education with the help of developing technologies, the purpose of which is not only to train students, but also to identify and develop the creative interests and abilities of each student, to stimulate his independent productive learning activities.

Currently, in the educational programs of secondary school, special attention is paid to the ability of students to perform independent work.  Therefore, since today's student will become tomorrow's specialist, we must also innovatively approach the organization of independent work at the university. The rapid updating of information, the development of science, the intensification of information technologies require the organization of independent work in an innovative direction. Therefore, this is one of the urgent problems today.

The purpose of this work is to study the theoretically justified effectiveness of using the "project method" in organizing independent work of Higher School students in mathematics. The expedient tasks are considered, i.e. the disclosure of the meaning of the "project method", methodological guidelines for the use of the project method in teaching mathematical disciplines and its diagnostic study of the effectiveness of this method is considered.

The main methods of this research are pedagogical experiment, controlled and quantitative methods. The specifics of project-based learning are taken into account as a method aimed at improving the abilities of students. A step-by-step methodology for organizing independent work of students according to the "project method" has been developed. During the control, a modular picture of learning was obtained, the content was determined, a project thematic plan for teaching mathematics in higher school was developed and the application of the project method was demonstrated. The research is aimed at finding answers to topical issues in the field of education and has practical significance for teachers and students.
