Abstract

The actual problem in the educational environment is the development of mathematical and research skills of students in the modern "mathematized world". The article proposes to use practical experience in robotics competitions for the formation of these skills. As a method of research used a survey among the participants of the championship "Robotek Grand Tournament 2023" Zhetysu region, which allowed students to effectively organize research work with both advanced level tasks and Olympiad tasks. This article presents an analysis of the influence of robotics competitions on the process of development of mathematical and research skills of middle school students. Based on the collected data, it was concluded that participation in robotics competitions has a positive impact on the development of students' math skills and stimulates the formation of research activity. The obtained results emphasize the importance of participation of middle school students in robotics competitions in order to ensure the versatile and profound development of students and to prepare a new generation of professionals in the field of robotics and scientific research.
