The article is devoted to the study of the possibilities of using augmented reality (AR) technologies in teaching robotics to schoolchildren. The key concepts of immersive technologies, their classification and methodological approaches to the integration of AR into the educational process are considered. The advantages of AR in comparison with traditional teaching methods, including increasing visibility, interactivity and student engagement, are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the Kazakh experience of introducing AR into school education within the framework of the Digital Kazakhstan program. Examples of successful use of AR in educational institutions in Kazakhstan are presented, as well as foreign cases demonstrating the effectiveness of technology in teaching robot programming. The challenges of implementing AR are considered, such as lack of equipment, methodological unpreparedness of teachers and the need to develop high-quality educational material. Two key ways of complementing reality have been identified – adding a new virtual object and adding an information layer. In conclusion, recommendations are formulated for the further development of AR in the educational field, including the need to create national AR applications and improve the skills of teachers.
